The world's brilliance lies in the convergence of diverse voices here. Today, we share the opening chapter of a Chinese story written by an international student at Chongqing Yitong University.

Staying here in China has opened my mind to new horizons I would never have experienced any other way by seeing and feeling it personally. I used to think that the world worked mostly the same by having traveled abroad around Europe. But now by living in another continent independently, I see that there was so much more I didn't know about the world, and only by seeing it with my own eyes that I have a better understanding of it.

Aside from the exquisite food and great views, the people I’ve met here are very friendly and hospitable, helping me and other foreigners get by with the changes. 

It sure isn't easy adapting to a different lifestyle and learning Chinese, but it is fun to go through it by learning the culture and giving it a try.

The traditions they have here are very unique, from mere ordinary activities to special events.Go through various places to witness lots of new things gives a lot of opportunities, and it is that first try that really sticks in your memory, because for me, it feels like I have made brand new memories like I have been reborn into a new life. Meeting new people, tasting great food, seeing beautiful places, and trying new experiences is what makes life really living.

It will certainly have some difficulties, but thanks to the help offered to me by the people around me, I’ve managed to overcome them in order to enjoy the good things in China, which I undoubtedly would recommend to others to find the same enlightenment as I have.
